There’s been all manner of talk recently about the recent Swine Flu. Here’s a boring but very informative video from the Center For Disease Control.

Here’s my feelings. If this thing blows over, it could still be a good wake up call to get folks into emergency preparedness. It is also a good time for the prepredness-minded to study up on pandemics. And if does create a pandemic, a little knowledge and preparation will go a long way toward keeping ourselves and our families safe.

What To Do Now

The CDC has prepared plenty of information.

Family Emergency Health Information Sheet

You may need to adjust your emergency prep spending. What is more important right now for you- breather masks, ammunition, water storage or something else? Give it some thought. There are plenty more checklists for different kinds of organizations (Schools/Churches/Businesses) at the CDC Flu website. http://www.pandemicflu.gov/plan/checklists.html
